Definition of Information/Instructional Design

INTERFACE

Information design involves organising information within a design in a way that is not only physically appealing to the user, but is also efficient and effective. Similarly, Instructional design also involves organising information in a design in a way that is efficient and effective, but also aims to aid the user by providing guidance on how to perform or complete a specific task.

Information/Instructional design can break information or instructions down in a way that enhances the users understanding of the topic. These designs often use colour coding and imagery as well as text to group together and physically demonstrate the information or instructions.
